Animal Dissection Exercises
Dissecting animals in the classroom is an important part of the medical  sciences education curriculum.
It serves as a hands on tool to deliver valuable information leading to higher knowledge of comparative human anatomy.
Animal cadavers can be obtained through a biological supply company (or sometimes the local butcher!) Teachers must be aware and sensitive to substantive student objections to dissection and to consider providing appropriate lessons for those students where necessary!

3.   Sheep Brain Dissection Guide
The plan in approaching the problem of dissecting the sheep's brain
First, an examination of the external features of the specimen will be undertaken.
Second, the brain will be bisected along the longitudinal midline, and the several features of the medial face of the hemisphere considered.
Third, the brain will be sectioned in a coronal manner, and the deep structures of the brain studied from that point of view.
